Join us this summer for some amazing theatre camps! Let your creative ideas and imagination soar as we dive into the fun of theatre, puppets and storytelling! Morning, afternoon and full day options available. See ages and descriptions below.
All grades are based on the 2024/25 school year.
Musical Productions
Finding Nemo Kids
FULL DAY MUSICAL PRODUCTION CAMP
A musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo with new music by award-winning songwriting team of Frozen. Finding Nemo KIDS brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure. This camp will rehearse at BritZa Performing Arts Studio and will end with a fully staged performance on the MainStage at the University of Sioux Falls on the final day of camp. Class size is limited.
3rd – 8th grade: $560
June 3 – 6 and 10 – 13 (9am – 3pm)
HALF DAY MUSICAL PRODUCTION CAMP
A musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo with new music by award-winning songwriting team of Frozen. This camp will rehearse 1/2 days at BritZa Performing Arts Studio and will end with a fully staged performance in our new Black Box Theatre with theatre lighting, sets, props and costumes! Class size is limited.
1st – 4th grade: $350

The Frog Prince
A PUPPET PERFORMANCE CAMP
In this 4 morning camp, Kids will learn about one of the most creative visual performing arts in the world, Puppetry! They will be instructed on how to bring inanimate puppets to life, learn how to create varieties of characters and then create a show. On their final day, they will put on a Puppet Show for an audience!
3rd – 8th grade: $185

Welcome to the Family
A MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP
This camp is perfect for the student who loves Musical Theatre! Explore acting and singing in this fun ensemble-focused class that helps strengthen performance skills through theatre games, scenes & songs. This camp will focus on scenes and songs from Theatre’s wackiest family: The Addams Family.
3rd – 8th grade: $130
July 15 – 18 (9:00 – 10:30am)
Puppet Playground
Make-and-Take
This camp introduces students to the world of puppetry through storytelling. Campers will make their own puppets and learn to bring them to life with classic stories! This make-and-take puppet camp offers time for new puppeteers to create and cooperate together.
Kind – 2nd grade: $175

Try Not to Laugh: Theatre Games
Want to learn some of the basics of theatre? Come play some theatre games! Theatre games are wacky and fun but underneath teach some valuable tools to become a better actor. This camp will be full of fun and fast paced games. Come play with us and learn to lead these games with your friends and families!
3rd – 8th grade: $85 per session

Theatre Make-Up

Old Age & Other Characters
Dive into this fun camp of behind the scenes magic! The world of theatre is full of imaginative characters and one important element of bringing those characters to life is make-up! In this class you will learn the basics of theatre make-up and create fun characters, using old-age make-up tricks as well as other creative characters. You will learn how to do the make-up on your own face. Theatre make-up kit is included in the price of the camp, and is yours to keep!
3rd – 8th Grade: $195

Fantasy & Animal Characters
Dive into this fun camp of behind the scenes magic! The world of theatre is full of imaginative characters and one important element of bringing those characters to life is make-up! Discover the perfect harmony between vocal expression and physical movement. Explore the intricacies of vocal techniques while mastering choreographed routines that elevate your stage presence.
